In April of 1975 the Phillips Café, located on the Northeast corner of West and 5th streets had a fire which destroyed the entire building. By June of that same year a new steel building was built, and WINCHESTERS was born. The restaurant operated for 29 years through 2 different owners but in 2004 the doors closed. Leaving a void in the community. Eighteen years later, two scrapy up starts with big dreams and big visions set their sights on what seemed to be impossible..... and not so smart.... the rebuillding of THE LEGANDARY WINCHESTERS. After many agonizing mornings from the late night "think tank" sessions the old Phillips Grocery & Cafe, which was located caddy-corner for the old Winchesters, was torn down and the New WINCHESTERS SALOON was built. The rest will be history!

Food was excellent. Staff very friendly and did a great job. It was very busy at the time but we still received fast, friendly and efficient service. Large inside and outside areas. Love the rustic, hunting decor, especially the hand carved tables. Highly recommend.
Very neatly decorated inside, great to have a place in town to eat again! Very good food. Very cold beer, good selection.
